What you are buying, and on what terms
Chatting is free and stays free. These terms apply only if you buy a paid plan. They sit alongside the terms and conditions and the refund policy.

1. What these terms cover
They cover the purchase of a paid plan on randomchat.social. Everything about using the service itself is in the terms and conditions, and when a payment is refunded is in the refund policy. If these pages ever disagree about a purchase, the refund policy decides refunds and this page decides the rest.
2. What a paid plan is
A paid plan adds extras to free chatting for a month or a year, paid in one go. It is not a subscription and nothing renews by itself. It is not a dating service, and it does not guarantee that a match will be found or how quickly.

The gender and country filters rely on what each person says about themselves, which we cannot verify. The country filter matches you first with people who said they are in the country you chose, and with someone from elsewhere when nobody from there is looking. We may add to, change or retire individual features; if a change removes something substantial from a plan you have already paid for, write to us and we will put it right.
3. Who can buy
You must be 18 or older and paying from a wallet or account that is yours to use. A plan is tied to a saved account, which is created by signing in with Google. It belongs to that one account and cannot be transferred, shared or resold. We may decline a purchase to prevent fraud or abuse.

Prices are set in US dollars and paid in cryptocurrency. The checkout page converts the price into the coin you choose at that moment's exchange rate and shows the exact amount to send. The blockchain's network fee for sending it is yours to pay. If we change a price, time you have already paid for is not affected.
5. Payment
Payments are handled by NOWPayments, on its own checkout page. You send the payment from your own wallet; we never see your wallet's keys or any other payment details beyond the amount and its status. NOWPayments' own terms and privacy policy apply to the payment itself.
Send the exact amount shown, before the checkout page's timer runs out. A payment that arrives short is not enough to switch the plan on; write to us and we will either refund it or let you top it up.
6. When a plan starts, and adding time
The plan starts as soon as the blockchain confirms the payment, which usually takes a few minutes and depends on the coin. Its features are available straight away. A monthly payment covers 31 days and a yearly one 366 days.
Nothing renews by itself and nothing is ever charged without you sending a payment. To keep a plan, pay again before or after it runs out; time you buy is added to the time you have left. Buying Plus while on Basic switches you to Plus at once, and the Basic time you had left is turned into Plus time in proportion to the two monthly prices. Buying Basic while on Plus adds time to Plus the same way.
7. Stopping
There is nothing to cancel. When the time you paid for runs out, your account goes back to the free plan. Not paying again is enough. The refund policy says when you get money back.
8. Bans, disputes and ending a plan
Paying for a plan does not lift a ban or change the rules. If an account is blocked for breaking the terms or the community guidelines, its plan ends without a refund, except where the law requires one. While a dispute about a payment is open, the plan may be paused.
9. When a plan ends
Your account goes back to the free plan and you can keep chatting. The paid features switch off: the gender and country filters, photo and clip sending, profile colours, chat backgrounds and the badge. Interests and chat history above the free limits are no longer kept. Your display name, friends and saved account are not affected.
10. Your legal rights
These terms are in addition to the rights the law gives you where you live, and take none of them away. If consumer law in your country gives you a right to withdraw from a purchase or a wider right to a refund, that is what applies.
11. Changes
We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the latest version, and a purchase is covered by the version that was in force when it was made.
